Arrow Sleeps on Cup Holder ???

I have a CAG baby that sleeps on the very thin metal cup holder in his cage. I have several perches of various sizes, shapes and materials available but he chooses that spot to sleep.

He does it in the travel cage also. I removed the food cups in that cage and he chooses to sleep on the floor grate rather than on the perch (dowel).

Normal? Ideas? I just don't want him to hurt his feet.

Birds can sleep in some amazing places. My parrotlet sleeps on a tiny piece of wood that comes off of a toy, my conure sleeps on the side of the cage next to his happy hut (of course not in it!). I think they wouldnt do it if it were uncomfortable.

my CAG sometimes sleeps in the corner of her cage at the top, on this thin metal bar that is part of the cage top (it opens up) I don't think much of it, she probably enjoys sleeping up there.

My cag which is 18 months old also sleeps on her cup holder. I also have two different perches of size and texture in her sleep cage but that is where she chooses to sleep. I was thinking that it was uncomfortable for her also and could not understand why she was sleeping there.
