Patricia Sund is a Columnist for Bird Talk Magazine, writing the monthly humorous column, Memo to Parker and Pepper, as well as many feature articles. She writes a popular Blog called Parrot Nation, and is working on a manuscript by the same name. She has written for Phoenix Landings Phoenix Beakin, The Alamo Exhibition Bird Club, the AFA Watch Bird, as well as for the Rocky Mountain Society of Aviculture. She has written internally for her Airline and wrote, directed and produced a play called: Loves People-Loves to Travel. a one-act play about life as a Flight Attendant.

Patricia has completed Dr. Susan Friedmans online course: LLP: Living & Learning with Parrots, and both the Beginning and Advanced Levels of the Natural Encounters Companion Parrot Training Seminars. She traveled to the Cincinnati Zoo last year to work as a Guest Keeper at the Zoo Bird House and returns again in September for three weeks to once again clean up after penguins, feed Steller Eagles, and sacrifice her jungle boots to a flock of renegade Keas.

Patricia Lives in Hollywood, Florida with her two Hoodlum African Grey Parrots, Parker and Pepper and her parrot-poop dodging rescued ShihTzu, Mattie.

When asked why she has parrots in her life, she always responds the same way: Ive been a Flight Attendant for almost 23 years; I guess Im just used to serving food, repeating myself, cleaning up crap and getting hollered at.
