Stupid shower accident!

Me and Pixel were taking a shower as we've done many times before. I only have a bathtub so he can stay out of the stream, sitting on the towel bar and then he comes to a little towel on my shoulder to bathe in the mist. Sometimes I take one of his stainless steel bowls as well for him to dunk himself into.
This time I put Pixel on the towel bar and the little bowl next to him and turn on the shower. As I am undressing he decides to jump up on the bowl, probably thinking it's full of water or food, throwing the bowl of balance. He gets startled and he and the bowl crash down into the tub that only has enough water for him to get his feet and his bottom wet. I rescue him from the tub and put him back on the towel bar, he's pretty shocked from this and I'm trying not to laugh at him since this was really really funny but also really scary for him. And I know this is my fault for putting that dangerous empty bowl next to him.
We proceed to taking our shower but Pixel doesn't want to come to the little towel on my shoulder so I just let him be. He likes to clean the water drops of my skin so I offer him my hand to drink the little drops, he misunderstands my gesture and hops on to my hand and runs for my shoulder so I think he wants to bathe after all. My shoulder is really slippery and he starts to loose his grip on me and thrash around. Of course I try to catch him but since he is still afraid of fingers this only makes things worse and he ends up in the tub again. I hadn't realized the water level was at my ankles by now, just enough for him to drown in. I got him out of the water immediately and he sneezed and coughed and looked all wide eyed and scared. Poor thing!!!
I feel so stupid! We've never had any problems showering before and two accidents in the same shower is just ridiculous. He'll never want to shower with me again!

Oh poor baby - sounds traumatizing!! He will come around to wanting to bathe/shower again, he just needs to get his feet wet, errr, get used to it? LOL. I think once he realizes he wont drown and is safe with you there he will see he can bathe safely. I just wouldn't leave him unsupervised in the tub, considering something could happen if you aren't watching, as Im sure you know!! = )

Yeah, it's a beautiful place but I don't think you realize how beautiful it is if you're there all the time. Unfortunately it's not the cheapest or nicest place right now.

Thank you again As soon as he was dry he was acting like nothing had happened. I think I was more shocked than he was in the long run

I'm just glad I hadn't washed yet when he went into the water so it was just water and no soap and shampoo
