an unexpected friendship

These two have been hanging out more and more lately. Don't they make a lovely couple?

Is that an Illie or Noble? The Illies, Nobles and Hahns are very social little birds. Severes not so.
How cute.

she's an Illy. I wouldn't trust Cokie with a Hahns or Nobel, I wanted one badly but Cokie is aggressive with smaller birds and I heard they tended to get napoleon complexes and that is too dangerous around Cokie. Tilly is about his size and very social. It's nice to see him finally make a friend. He doesn't like any of my other birds.

I guess you never know who's going to hit it off! I'm glad they have each other for companionship.

I am a little jealous. That will never be Dave and Bing. The two can coexist but there comes the point when some invisible barrier is crossed and great drama ensues.

I know drama. That is why Tiki is housed on the far end of the room. Birds are strategically placed. Tiki doesn't want anyone near his stuff, but he thinks he should be able to raid everyone else's. All small birds are housed upstairs and closely supervised if allowed downstairs because of Cokie, he tries to lure small birds by putting his head down for scritches so he can nail them. But that's his nature. It's just nice to see him flirt.. to see a softer side to him.

yeah that's my favorite too. They act like it's an accident they happen to perch next to each other, 'don't I know you?!' Steeling sidelong glances. You can see he thinks she's pretty.
