Blue Colored Bird!

Well today was a sucessful trip to the flea market. I found a Blue Quaker Parakeet! I don't have the camera still but I will tell you he is very pretty. I am so happy to have a blue colored bird!
He is very tame, like the two Quaker Parakeets that were born with me. He is singing very pretty songs and making kissing sounds. I cant wait untill I go to by dads and can show him the other Quaker Parakeets in his family!

Congrats on the new baby - but PLEASE quarantine for at least 30 days. You dont want to pas infection or sickness onto the birds you already have and possibly lose all the birds in your home/care. Would love to see pics soon!!

now that you have a blue colored bird, is that your last one? are you done? I have said I was done but went on to get more. Am trying to not get any more birds so I have time to work the the untame ones. How about you? do you have a limit? I'm hoping not to go down a dangerous road where I can no longer give my birds what they need because I have too many and wanted 'just one more'.

I have not set a limit but I do not think I will be seeking out any pet birds anymore. I am happy with my bird family.

I don't think anyone is a witch. But I am very leery of accepting words at face value without pics.

How can you afford these birds? Are you going to hit us up for some money for Vet bills later? That's a lot of birds, and you sound very young.

I'm not talking about money. I'm talking about time. The time it takes to bond and train. If you have money, spend it on toys for the birds, playstands nice big cages and outside aviaries. Has your CAG seen a vet for the hole under it's wing yet?

You know what people I envy? People who have a few birds, and have the time to spoil them completely. People who have taken the time to re-hab a rehome or untame bird before getting another bird. People who put their resources into elaborate bird rooms and aviaries.
