Question Ashling-or anyone else. Please read its about the lice.

okay well when i went to the store i found something that seemed safer to use but more expensive so i brought it since the store manager said its safer.
It's Care Free Enzymes Poultry protector
The bottle says its Non-toxic and all natural.
and the ingrediants are Potassium Sorbate .1% by weight, water, yeast, citric acid 100%
It says its perfect and safe to spray onto any animal and living area.
Is this okay to use or no?

Probably before bed when the lice are more active. When we had mites where I worked with poultry, we would spray under both wings and around their vent. They like to hide in warm places (wing pits and vent) so this gives the maximum amount of protection without going overboard on the bird.

I'm not sure about the one you have soo I can't give any opinion on it. Ask a vet if you possibly can, if not just spray a tiny bit to test and see how Kiwi goes. I sprayed my flock last night with "aristopet bird lice and mite spray" which contains active constituents: 0.5g/L pyrethrins and 5g/L piperonyl butoxide. It's what I've always used.

okay i tried a little i sprayed some on a peice of paper and wiped them with it. ALso i dont think theres a problem with it since Potassium Sorbate is used as a food perservative, water is safe, so is yeast and citric acid is in oranges. so im pretty sure its safe.

Yes the ingredients all sound pretty safe. If it's all going well then it should be ok. My only problem is that it specifically said poultry in the name then said it's ok for all creatures... I was like... what? It probably was made with poultry in mind but then found to be ok for other pets too. Just keep an eye on Kiwi and don't get it in his eyes.

Do you guys spray sometimes even though they don't have them? Abbey doesn't let us touch her so I didn't know if I should do it just in case. What are the symptoms?
