I went downstairs for like TWO MINUTES to get jasper a piece of fruit leaving him sitting on the perch that sits so he can walk in and out of his cage - like i always do... and he usually just sits there or goes back in his cage... but... today.. i forgot to close my bedroom door; and jasper decided to come and look for me... so up i go to give him his fruit 'jaasper look what i got for you.. jasper... JASPER.. WHERE ARE YOU??? 'Jaaasper *wanders through house* JAAAAAAASPER jasper come! jaaasper - this goes on for like 5 minutes and im getting uber worried... then i go back in my room 'jaaaasper come' then ZOOOM this big green bird flies at me - he was sitting on my computer chair the entire time...

LOL...He was probably thinking...well mom you were taking to long getting my fruit so I had to come and find you!! I think it's cute when they wander through the house looking for you, just like a little kid looking for mommmy or daddy! Jasper is a cute guy :)

lol he has just started going through his first molt and he is being a PAIN lol... he is restless and destructive and ANNOYING lol

I can relate to that, Rocky just started going through his first molt to and he is a pain in the but some days!! LOL... I noticed to he doesn't seem to be sleeping that well either. I am up and down all night, and I can hear him in the middle of the night talking to himself, but before the molt he used to sleep straight through the night, not a peep, so I think he is so restless, because he isn't sleeping! I'll be happy when it's over:)

It is indeed cute when they're wandering around the house. Sometimes I can't find Jezebel, and I call her. she doesn't answer to calling yet, so I have to make a fool out of myself wandering all over the place to try and find her.

Hah he probably thought you were crazy calling all over for him like that when he was there the whole time. :P Cookie doesn't follow me around ): I wish she was that bonded to me, i wish i had gotten her as a baby, oh, well, she's still my sweetie!

As he gets older, he is going to go exploring a lot more. Echo was pretty laid back as a baby but he thinks he owns and runs the whole house now. When I go outside with my dogs or to sit on the porch for a while, he has terrible temper tantrums. I think ekkies are busybodies. They expect to know where everyone is and what everyone is doing 24/7. Echo has become a real watch bird. He has a warning scream that he does anytime anything isn't how he thinks it should be. The other night I was getting them ready for bed: getting food, water, treats, etc. I had him in Gabe's cage in the living room. He kept yelling "mom, mom, mom!". I would answer him telling him what I was doing. Then he yelled "where are you?". I've never heard him say that before. It was so cute. Later he said something I didn't quite understand but he answered himself with "so what?". Then started telling Blossom how bad she was because she didn't come to him when he called her. lol They are smart little guys. It's easy to get manipulated by them. They look so sweet and innocent but there's usually some serious thinking going on behind that angelic facade. I've heard of them referred to as rock birds because they're so dumb and lazy.....they sure have some people fooled.
