It was an add, in the 80's I think. Paul Hogan (before Crocodile Dundee), it was aimed at getting tourists here, aimed mainly at the USA and he invited them to come over and he would put another shrimp on the barbie....all Australia groaned, lol.

Can someone translate for me...

What are these collard greens that you see on US websites as a good thing for birds (and lizards!)

Do we have something equivalent?

Collard greens are a type of lettus (I think) but it is thicker then romain or spinich.
They are considered a dark green leaf, which means they are packed with good vitamins.

Collard greens are known as kale in Australia. Had to look that on up again.

Thanks! I've never seen Kale in the market. I found endive eventually. My lizards LOVE that. I will ask my grocer about kale.
