DNA results on my baby CAG...

...are not in. They LOST the sample!

So now we've waited a month for nothing, and need to start the process all over again.

Meanwhile, this poor bird thinks his/her name is "Baby Bird" because we're holding off on a name until we know if he's a little boy or a little girl.

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Awwwww, I hope they are giving you some sort of refund for the trouble. The waiting must be terrible. I have not had Henry DNA'd, he doesn't care if I call him Henry or Henrietta lol, so I figure why bother, maybe one day he will lay an egg or something, and then I'll know.

Then you could call the egg "Henriegga".

hahahahahaha, Henry is an only bird, so Henriegga would not hatch no matter how well he cares for it :-)

We had the bird store clip the nail and get the sample, and she uses Pet DNA Services of AZ. I used them for my Hahns last year and it took just a few days. Not sure WHO lost the sample, but the end result is the same. I think I'll have her clip the nail again for a new sample and send it in myself!
