Talking Alls well that ends well!

I went to the bird show that we have once a month in Madison, WI hoping to find a cage at a good price for Cougar. They had cages, just not ones that were suitable for her, guess I will keep searching. All was not lost however, as I met Dmiller91 in person! She spotted me as I was getting cougar a great playstand. They had some really great deals on playstands the one I got her was only $50! It was a little dirty on the bottom, but nothing some soap and vinegar water can't solve. Cougar is checking it out right now, I think she will have plenty of outside time on it! And I got plenty of toys too!
It was a good day overall, now time to get ready to go to work!

A couple pics of the play stand

And the toys that I bought, I also got another shredder toy that's on the playstand. And some natural zupreem for Cougar since she doesn't eat her Lafaebers pellets anymore.

Now I will have to finish outfitting the stand, it's not done by any means! A parronts work is never done!

And about the birds at the show, there were some really beautiful lovebirds that were from a breeder that I know. They were really happy to see me! I couldn't help but check out their lovies. They said that the parents were peachfaced, but the babies were olive pied, dutch blue, australian cinnamon. . . just to name a few. And were beautifully hand tame. I wanted to take home the olive pied one, but I would have killed myself if I had. (Dmiller was no help either! LOL!) It was a really great turn out for a holiday weekend. I was very surprised!

That is a GREAT playstand at an excellent price!! I'd love to be able to find one like that for Ziva!! I'm going to need one to move around upstairs when she's allowed up there!

I guess that maybe going to a bird fair would be OK to get hard things from if washed down well. The article on what they found at bird fairs on Xaf's mom's website scared me to death!

Yes, you scored! What a great stand! What a nice person brdfvr is! I saw her from a distance at the last one, but wasn't sure until she posted a picture of herself. Had to say hi!

Us bird freaks have to stay together!

I was thrilled there were more birds to stare at than last time. I wanted to see a pionus to see if I should keep it on my list for when my husband divorces me LOL. There was one there, a white capped. It was a little flaky. Not sure based on that bird's personality LOL.

One lady there, she was there last time, claims she has 160 birds. Maybe a bit much? There was a fairly normal person with her, I think she was helping this woman place some of them. She had exotics I've never seen before... one that she called a King parrot? Bright red, with blue. Looked like a short fat eclectus, but it was something else. She also had a red rumped parakeet. What a cutie! Must. stop. now.

I love the food seller people. Seed mixes without sunflowers. I don't need anything this time, but that's where I'll buy it when I next need it.

The guy with cockatoo was there. No cockatoo, and his eye patch was gone. I was glad to see he still had both eyes!

Okay, so I need to start a thread for group therapy from folks suffering from Multiple Bird Syndrome, or I'll end up like the woman with 160 birds.

It looks like you had a great day. Nice stand! Cougar looks like one happy bird.

It is cool meeting BB people in person isn't it? I've really only had the experience once and it was a lot of fun.

Glad to hear you had fun at the fair. I have been to that specific bird fair myself, but left quite disappointed. I drove 2 1/2 hours to get there and it was teeny tiny! I have heard the one in racine is great, I hope to hit that one up soon.

What a great playstand!!

Who had 160 birds?! The older lady on the far end of the first row as you come in? She's kinda weird, I talked to her before about her parrotlets and she was pretty gossipy (I guess I sound like her now, LOL!)

Thanks for the kind words Dmiller! It was really great meeting you too! Sorry I had to jet out kinda suddenly, I still had to get to work and clean/set up the stand before then.
