Smile I love the girl on the cover....too funny

So, I get the new Fosters and Smith catalog which I always drool over. It has a fantastick photo of a Green Winged on the cover.

So, the catalog is on my desk and my B&G, Lola is sitting on my chair and sees it...and totally falls in love with the bird on the cover! She is 'beaking' with her and trying so hard to get her attention. I keep picking it up to show her it is not real.

My question is, should I take the cover photo and pin it up in her cage for her to drool over? (that is a joke, honestly)

LOL...that is to funny! Rocky saw his reflection today in a toy and kept peeking at it, he did it for like 10 minutes!

I think Tommy is being sarcastic here and needs to be indoctrinated that sometimes we post just fun stuff...not just all science, research and fact. Our birds are...well...personalities each and every one! Tommy, what is it you expect from this site?

tommyvo009Glad to read such a nice piece of information.
This is exciting news.

I agree congo I don't have any friends or family members with birds so when Rocky does something funny I have to share it on here, because you guys are the only ones who understand!! It's good to have a laugh, we have a blast on here :P

I sometimes look through my cockatiel book with Peanut and he's get a big goofy grin on his face, open his wings and sing and whistle to the tiels in the pictures, often saying "Pretty pretty booooy!"

Tommy- anything specific you're looking for? This was an example of how intelligent birds are that they can recognize their own species on a 2D piece of cardboad- a milestone in the world of animals called "self-recognition." This thread ensured that information was passed on in an appealing way for readers. You can gather all sort of information in different ways, it desn't have to be formally set out with references. I hope you learned something and I'm glad you found that interesting because I certainly did!

My 'tiels are odd, they don't bother with their own reflection. Bonnie and Angel simply don't care, although Angel got into the habit of sticking her head in a big bell that used to be in their cage and talking to herself. All you could see was this cockatiel body and a big silver bell for a head, it was bloody funny XD I removed the bell a long time ago though as I was worried about her safety with doing that

That's actually very sweet! Xaf tries to masturbate with his own photos. No other photos, just his. Well, and a wrapped pastry from Meg's lunch. We don't discuss that though.
