Little Bugger

It never fails. When ever I am on the phone with someone Chiquita ALWAYS starts screaming at the top of her lungs like Im murdering her. People are stunned when they call, they really are baffled by the screaming. So am I. I can’t stop the little bugger either. Sometimes when Im talking to people, like the doctors offices and pharmacy, the bank it’s a little embarrassing, lol

And boy can she scream, she just hates when Im on the phone.

Oh man...

I had that issue with Luca....but it stopped when I started letting her look at the phone and listen to some of the calls.

Now, if she hears someone she knows and likes on the other end, there's not much I can do but let her talk to them for a bit. ^^;

What type of bird is Luca? She actually listened? That is cute. I should try that and see if it works.

That is hilarious (obviously not for you when youre on the phone, LOL). Whenever my bf calls I swear my dogs sense it and they WHINE and cry and pace the floor and become so utterly annoying that I always have to be like "Roxy, Maggie - enough!!" in my mean mom voice, haha. I feel for ya!!

Luca's a sun conure.

My b&g, Etty, was apparently giving my mother a horrible time coming off his playtop on his cage to go to bed when I was in CA...she called me, and when he heard my voice he calmed down and finally relented. Phones can work wonders for animals, especially parrots, since they're so vocal-based. Heck, they're probably already programmed to respond to only a voice since they communicate from such far distances at times.

That is pretty amazing. I never thought of that. I should call Chiquita and Boomer today, lol.

That's why I don't have a phone in my nursery. The babies hear me talk and start screaming in return. They think I'm talking to them. LOL
