Don't move!! Taking orders from your parrot

I was downstairs yesterday with my grey...we both slept on and off after the kids got home. (I like that she'll nap if I am!) Well, my wife woke me up after she got home, and I got up from the sofa to go upstairs...and I heard "Sit down there!" I guess Ziva did not want me to get up, lol! It kills me when they say things that at least seem in context...but this is the first time that I've been told what to do by one!

Had to share that....

Later that evening, Ziva said, "I see you". Silly bird.

I agree with that one! She can make noises that I can't even begin to mimic... like this metallic clanking noise... no other way to describe it...but I don't know where she picked it up, and I can't repeat it!

It is funny to hear them do that. Baby Isis makes the AT&T beep that tells you there is a message -- in the beginning we looked for the phone, now we still look for the phone!

I am sure the next will be "Leave it" which we tell Boris our puppy when he is getting into something that he is not suppose to.

Parrots are so funny!

When I am after the boys with my voice raised Teal will tell me to shut the hell up, or Stop and be nice! LOL.

When he wants me he will call out "come here"

It's so cool when a grey says something in context! I believe that they know what they are saying, and why. My grey Tonka will say "Tonka wanna come out?" when he wants to come out of his cage. This summer he got a new cage and his old one became his outside cage for nice days. So now he says "Tonka go outside!" when he wants to go in the backyard.

And if I take him out of his cage and put him on his playstand instead of outside, he'll repeat "Tonka go outside! Tonka go outside!" until I take him out.

That is too funny!

So far Delenn has only said things like "Hey... hey you... hey... hi... step up" when she wants out.

She's also learned that my husband will take her out if she whistles instead of screaming. So sometimes she tries her best to whistle instead, but it comes out has a half-whistle... half-scream...
