Birdie Buddy

I have been thinking of getting Abbey a birdie buddy. I am not sure if she would like it. She isn't a cuddle bird so I don't know if she would cuddle with it. Are there any birds out there that aren't cuddly that like birdie buddies? This would be the one I would get. I have also been thinking about a bird tent. I think she would like that better than the full tent.

My jenday conure loves his tent but he likes cuddlying. My gcc sleeps in his every night. He isn't super cuddly yet but I can tell it's in him. He's snuggled in my hair and tried to cuddle under my arm. I had a finsch's conure who demanded sleeping in something....he wasn't at all cuddly. My nanday hates cuddly things and tents but enjoys cuddles with humans and other birds.
Give it a try....you never know.

I bought something similar to the perch cover for my galahs (but bigger obviously). Gator hated it and wouldn't go near it, never did. Tiki Bird loves it but as a toy, not a tent or cover. He hangs on the side, hangs upside down off of the perch, rips the heck out of the top, but I never see him sitting in it like he's supposed to do.

Does this have the same thread problem as happy huts? I really want to replace the happy hut but I am having a hard time finding something.

Delenn liked to sleep on top of her happy hut, but the thought of her getting hurt scares the *&%^ out of me. I am thinking of putting a jolly ball in her cage with something soft to see if that works better.

Oh, what's wrong with the happy huts? I just bought one today for the new bird. I noticed last night and this morning that when he sleeps he sort of tries to lay down, so I thought he might like it.

My conures love their tents. I used happy huts but because of all the issues with them I switched to buying tents from this site Bird and Parrot Sleep Tents. My conures love their tents and I think they are made much better then happy huts.

I heard too many stories of how the quilting would unravel and make loose threads. Then the poor bird would get them wrapped around toes or necks and hurt themselves badly.

I know I would freak out if that happened to one of my birds. But I would like an alternative so Delenn can snuggle with something when I am not around. She is very snuggly when I hold her.

Chopper's Toys has some great beds for parrots: safe parrot beds and sleepers by Chopper's Toys

Pickle (and Beetle before him) uses one of their "Perfect Preener" toy as a cozy hiding spot :) It's the perfect size for small parrot to hide under: Chopper's Toys for feather picking, plucking, preening, parrots

I figured the tent would be good since she doesn't have to get into it. She doesn't like to get into anything. I thought the cozy corner would be good. I am just afraid she wont use it. She likes to pull her toys around her sleeping perch.

I've been thinking about a Birdie Buddy for Apple because he never sleeps IN his happy hut, he sleep leaning against it, like you would with a birdie buddy.
