As requested: CAG week 3

Here's day 1:

Here's week 3:

That's the oldest baby.

Sadly, we lost the youngest. We could tell something was wrong with it from about the middle of the first week - it simply wasn't developing. After a couple of trips to UCD and a few scans, it showed several deformities. Within a few days, it had ceased to eat and while we switched to tube feeding to keep it alive, even that wasn't enough and it passed on gently in the night.

Sometimes nature calls and even we humans must obey her.

But, here's some news for you guys that did guess on the genders!

The one everyone thought was a male? Female

The one everyone thought was a female? Male

Go figure!

The more I see pictures of your babies and the more that I read your posts I am considering flying out to you to get my babies! It is hard to find breeders who really care and you can trust. But I know my husband would freak out if we flew to go get our birds. He feels we are already spending way too much for this endeavor, not to mention the renovations to the house. He would look at me like "Are you serious, No, we are not flying somewhere to go get your birds when we have a breeder right around here that takes just as good care". That would be my husband. I can almost see his face, he doesnt get it often but it is the same face he gives our kids when they have just asked a crazy (in his eyes) question.

It's got squinty eeeeeeeys *coos*

So sorry about the other baby. Is that a fairly common risk with breeding? Must be so hard to take that everytime. ; . ;

Get your greys from Tina. I have been reading her posts for a long time and if I had the chance I would be getting one from here too. She is a truly ethical breeder, what I wish to be sometime in the future... Stuff what your husband says, jsut get them sent to you.. They will be the best you can buy.

/end slightly drunk awesomeness
