Funny moment this morning with bathing

Oh my goodness, wish I'd had my camera. My husband put out the flat water dish this morning, he wanted his Senegal Savanna to bathe. My green cheek had just finished a bath in an egg pan by the sink I had water soaking in.

So the Senegal goes up, peeks in, takes a drink, walks away.

The Sun Conure, runs over, dunks her head, jumps in and makes a royal mess.

She's done, she goes back to her basket to begin the grooming process. Savanna goes back, she tries again, she's perched on the edge, flapping her wings, no water in the air though. Then she pokes her head in, a bit of water falls over her shoulders. There! she thinks, I done good!

The Sun, you could just hear the big SIGH, gets off her basket, stalks over, like for Pete's Sake, let me show you HOW to do this. She jumps in, and makes a royal mess (again), and jumps out. See? She looks at Savanna, THIS is how you do it!

Savanna pokes her head in a bit deeper, shakes water over her shoulders, then walks back to the basket to join the sun in the grooming.

She actually thinks she got it licked!
