I'm excited for you. I think a Hahn's would fit right in with your little gang! I absolutely adore those little guys.

I have done so much research over the past few weeks on these little guys and I just cant find anything that is a big deal breaker for me. My bf is of course using the argument "but they are so loud". Neko was loud and we broke that by doing kissy noises instead of the screaming. He knows now that screaming does nothing and kissing gets him what he wants - its a wonderful system!!

I got an email back already. What do you all think.....

"I have raised a cockatiel and owned a cockatoo that I had to give up to a bird vet because of some major surgery. Chewy is hand raised but only gets nippy w/strangers he/she has never been to the vet and has had some feather plucking issues in the past that a good uv lamp clear ups. Yes, he can be noisy. He has a good cage (included) and is allowed to climb on the outside. We have had no other birds in over ten years and he can step up."

Im 90% wanting to say "yes yes yes I will take him!" - Any information I should ask for ? I want to see a photo so Im asking for that, considering I have to drive 3 hours to get him/her.

Wow, that is so great. I hope he works out well for you. I would ask to see a photo of him/her and his cage. Seeing the cage will give you a good idea if it's big enough and in good condition. If not, you will have to factor a new suitable cage into the expense as well unless you have a spare cage already.

Good luck with your decision. I am sure you will keep us posted and post lots of pictures if you bring him home :)

P.S. Chewy is my small dog's name LOL. It suits him well since he loves to chew anything in sight.

I think you know what the best questions to ask are, I am excited for you. I think if this guy were to go anywhere you would be the best choice.

Even if his cage isn't the best, $25 is a steal on your part! And you can pick up a cheap cage this weekend at the bird fair.
