Red face Tell Me About Your Birds "Bad" Moments!

Here's a classic one that has happened before.. Yesterday I left a bag of seed within reach of the little birds (Benny and Siena) that stay out all the time. I usually don't leave the seed near them but forgot to put it back in the kitchen when I left for town. Anyway, I come home, and there are 2 naughty birds looking at me, holes chewed through the bag. and seeds all over the floor in a messy pile !! I was like, "Benny! Siena!" and turned around to face them. I pulled the spray millet out of the paper bag I was holding and dangled it so they could see. I said, "What am I going to do with this now ? This was a treat for some good birdies!" and I set it down on the cage anyway. haha and then I proceeded to sweep up the huge seed mess.

I would love to hear all about the worst things your bird has done when your back was turned.

Jasper always goes over to the shelf i put his stuff on and proceeds to throw all the containers all over the floor...
Today he was chewing into one of the resealable bags and he put a hole in it so i had to find an air tight container to put it in *grumbles*

Ziggy's play gym is by the window. He loves looking out. Yesterday he figured out how to climb the curtain and sit up high on the rod. I thought it was cute so I left him there. When I came back to check on him, he had ripped a nice chunk out of the sticky border that frames the top of our living room. I guess he wanted to redecorate LOL

I was just about to eat dinner when I got a call from work that I had to take. Once that was done I came back to the table and got a spoon full of peas that I was taking over to Jerry's cage, he was all fluffed up and still had mashed potatoes all over his beak! The little bugger was eating off my plate while I was in the other room and had flew back to his cage so he wouldn't get caught. Makes me wonder how often he eats from my plate without me knowing!

Razz was in the bathroom with me and she grabbed and dropped a glass on the sink, smashing the sink. There are other things but that was a biggie.

I made the mistake of having my B&G on my arm as I passed by my Green Winged. If they are together they attack me. Well, my B&G got aggressive and bit my upper lip very badly. I will have a scar and some deformity unless I choose to have plastic surgery. It all happened so fast it is a blurr.

Well Oliver also got into a seed bag once and I found him on a shelf literally half in the bag, having a feast, LOL. It was too cute though & I snapped a photo. Neko had a VERY bad moment a few weeks ago. We left to go somewhere and when we came back Neko was NOT in his cage. I heard him chirping and found him ON THE COUCH with Roxy and Maggie, just hanging out. Still not sure how he got out, but his food and water doors are now zip tied. I am SO BLESSED to have dogs who dont mess with my birds but man, that could have been a tragedy. Especially since Neko must have gotten out, flown to the ground and then walked all the way to the other end of the house JUST to hang out with two doggies!!! Amazing what these little creatures can do.

Jezebel's pretty good so far. I'd say the worst thing she's done at this point is to chew on the wires of my computer. I've got little patches of masking tape all up and down in the places where she chewed off the protective rubber part and where the metal wires are showing.

Gizzy and Cheeko haven't caused too many problems. Now Maverick...well that's why his name is Maverick.

When we first got him, it took about 2 weeks before he started got used to us and started pushing boundaries and showed his true colors. Ryan had class one day, got back, and the cage door was wide open. There was Maverick, in the floor, sitting in bird poop. So we lock the front part of the cage. Again, Ryan goes to class, comes back...Maverick's in the floor again. This time he escaped through the small doors where his food and water dishes are. Now that cage is escape-proof. When he's OUTSIDE of his cage, let's see...he's knocked over beer cans, chewed up shirts, attacked my mom on numerous occasions, misbehaves at the vet to the point where I know they dread me bringing him in...he's WILD. But he's also the most cuddly, affectionate, and sweet little nanday.

You can tell from this picture he is TROUBLE! (He's peeking out behind the sofa)
