His own tree!

You know those 6-7' fake trees? Well, I'm going to ask my parents if it's OK if I can use one (we have two) for KeeWee. I tried puting one of those screw in hooks in the trunk of the tree and it was very sturdy. I thought how cool would that be to deck it out in a boing and toys? Very cool!

That sounds pretty cool. I'm not sure what materials the fake tree is made of but I suggest you make sure they are all safe for the bird to chew on.

Fake trees ARE great just as long as the materials are safe, as reznik said. You dont want them to digest something that could potentially be deadly.

Depending on the type of fake tree, you may find the bird will strip the leaves off it rather quickly. I had one for my cockatiel that passed and he basically stripped the entire tree in less than one week. It makes a good mess too. Watch for glue around the trunk. Some have branches glued into holes in the trunk and the glue can be eaten. Just check carefully and prepare for a nice mess and a bald tree LOL.
