Just read some fantastic news!

On 'my' UK parrot forum we've all been following the story of a twenty-five year old OW Amazon which went missing at the beginning of July.

There have been various sightings of the bird over the months, THESE being the most recent.

He's been hanging out with the local Gulls and has evaded capture several times. It's just incredible he's survived this long in the wild (he certainly wouldn't have done had he been clipped).

Well he's now back home! Such great news after more than three months! This has really made my day!

That's great news! When you hear about these little creatures getting out your heart just goes out to their people huh?! They must be thrilled to have him back, as well as he should be happy to be safe back home.

I was just wondering if the bird will find it hard to settle after so many weeks of freedom?? I do hope not or the owner will be so upset.

Apparently the bird is much bigger than when he went missing and is all muscle!

I wonder what he managed to find for food? I'm very impressed he made it so long and ended up back at home.

It would seem he flew from place to place finding other birds to feed with! Remarkable really!
