I have separate playstands or hanging stands for each bird. And then they can all be out at the same time. Plus, I rotate them onto different stands while they're out. They all seem to LOVE being on someone else's stand!
The galahs will share a stand since they have grown up together, but Tiki can get aggressive and knock Gator off of the stand when he gets possessive of a toy or food bowl. So, to give her peace of mind, we got her a separate stand. Sometimes all three birds will be on the couch at the same time, but I will be sitting there as well making sure that all remains peaceful. |

I know you were asking specifically about owners of different sized birds and I have three Greys but this could apply if I had different sized birds too.
I've got two playstands... ![]() But they invariably all end up flying to and fro between both stands and the play area above! Shinda is sometimes a bit rough with Henry (Shinda will do a fly-by stamp on Henry's back sometimes) so I keep a very close eye on them when they're out. Short of having them in separate rooms I wouldn't be able to give them separate areas to play in because they just fly to wherever they want to be! I assume that would be the same with any birds regardless of size?? |

Pippy, I LOVE that play area for your greys! It looks like so much fun and I'd be happy if I was a bird! lol :)

I have separate stands for the conures and the bgm...but occasionally I'll put them on the same stand on different levels (well, only on the macaws because honestly the conure one is a bit small for him!)
NOT starting an argument here, but controlling flight by clipping helps a lot here...even if one of them decides to be somewhere else, they can't get the height to access the other's stand, so I don't have to worry about sudden ambushes. My conures get along well enough,; it's only the macaw that can't be next to the two of them....and that's really only for freak accident reasons. |

Yes I had to have two separate stands for my birds, a painted conure and a parrotlet. Neko does not get along with Oliver so it was causing problems. Oliver just wanted to hang out on the play stand and preen while Neko just wanted to bite his feet! Luckily for me I didnt have to have any large excessive play stand because my birds are small, but I definitely am glad I had two (I make my own, too). If and when I ever get a bird room than they will have run of that room and their will be play things EVERYWHERE (similar to Pippys). Will be nice to be able to have everyone in one place!!

At this point in time I have one playstand. I let my tiel and gcc out together, they are cagemates. My quaker is out when they are in, or the quaker is in another room with me. There would be bloodshed if the quaker got hold of the other two.
