Fresh fruit and veggies

Do you just throw everything in their food bowl at once? Or some in the morning and then some when you get home?

Most people offer 2 or 3 "meals" a day, and depending on the age of the bird, you may want to leave something available 24/7 (dry mixes and/or pellets are good for this, since they don't spoil). If it is fresh food, like raw veggies and fruits, you can leave it in the cage for several hours. After several hours, it will wilt and eventually spoil. If it is a cooked food, it's best to remove it after 2 or 3 hours tops, because it will spoil much more quickly.

An example would be to leave pellets and/or a dry mix in a bowl/foraging toy all the time, then offer a cooked mash (bean, rice, and veggie mix) first thing in the morning. Take it out after a couple hours (or before you go to work). When you get home from work, offer a fresh "salad" of raw fruits and veggies and leave it in until bedtime. If you're home during the day, you might offer a small, healthy snack for "lunch".

Mine get pellets all day and a little seed. They excersice plenty when out of their cages so I don't feel the slightest bad about it and since they also eat pellets and fresh foods, they do get the nutrition they need.
In any case, I have a pellet bowl, a bowl with some of the seeds (which also has some pellets). In the morning they get breakfast in another bowl (small piece of whole wheat toast with added grains and a small piece of fruit, lately apple) and in the evening they either get a fresh food mix (you can see an example of what I give them here and keep in mind I add fresh sprouts on top of this mix) or some of what the cooked meal I'll be having if it's ok for them (chicken, cooked veggies, etc). I give fresh food later in the day that way I am home to take it out when they are done and don't have to worry about food spoiling in their cages during the day.

I put pellets in their bowl in the morning and then layer fresh veggies, fruit and nuts on top of it. When I come home all the veggies and fruits are gone and their MIGHT be a little bit of pellet left.
