Red face Cockatiel sick

My Cockatiel has liver disease and I heard the Aloe Detox was very good. Can someone help me with how to administer it to him. His water dish is 8 oz. Thanks

I would suggest asking the vet how to administer that. What kind of liver disease does your 'tiel have?

Hi, I went to try to get some info for you on aloe detox, although I think there was a thread about this at some point. For sick birds, it says 50/50 or 60/40 aloe detox/spring water. You also need to alter the diet. Some birds will not drink this mix, so I will keep my fingers crossed that your cockatiel drinks it. It also gives a dose of one part aloe detox to 3 parts spring water, if your bird is not showing ill signs. It says to only use it for 3 weeks and then recheck the birds liver values. I hope this helps. You can google aloe detox dosages for birds, and it will come up with sites that also have other homeopathic meds, and what to feed a bird with liver problems. Very sad your vet didn't advise you better on how to use it. Good Luck !
