I have a female Quaker parrot and supposedly a male GCC. The Quaker was a wild bird that my wife and I took in after a car hit her and broke her wing. We have had her about four months. The GCC we got to see if she could have a friend. I know this doesn't always work out, but due to the fact that she loves the other Quakers around here we gave it a shot.
My question is about there behavior when they are out together. I have had the GCC for two months now and I am slowly letting them get closer to each other. They get close and touch beaks and tongues until my Quaker gets a little meaner with her beak. She starts to bite a little harder. But they always just touch there beaks and tongues. Is this normal? Are they fighting, because they don't seem upset really. They don't fluff up or anything. Just wondering if I should get another Quaker for her since she is used to them and tries to get them to come to her whenever I take her outside. I would like to bring them out together without worrying that they might attack each other. My GCC seems really interested in her and wants to get close. She is a little different, she has just recently started to move towards him rather than away.

Thanks for any help!
