We are currently fostering a very lovable Severe Macaw (bird) named Alice. Her original owner was ill and could no longer take care of her. We are looking for a permanent home for her. She needs lots of love and attention and someone that understands the needs of a bird.

If you can give her a home please contact Linda or Steve.

Is this a real bird for adoption or is it spam?

It doesn't look like spam to me. I think Nanny said she has been in contact with these people. I could be wrong but it looks legitimate to me. I hope the poor fid finds a great home.

This isn't spam, Nanny has been here awhile and wouldn't allow someone to come in under her name and post let alone post spam herself. Im sure she is really trying to find these birds great new homes.

THANK YOU SYDNEY!!!!!

No NOT spam, and I don't BELIEVE these folks are looking for a fee, simply a good, home.. now I could be wrong, don't quote me, but thats the impression I got when emailing them myself.... BTW.... THEY initially contacted ME, after finding my post looking for a companion for Mo.

Alice sounds like a real sweetheart, I thought i'd post so she could find a great home with a bird board member instead of some shmuck off the street who doesn't know jack about parrots!!!!!!

BTW, I've had SEVERAL people call and email me about my "companion" post, owners of everything form amazons to eclectus(i)..... Thats how Gracie's owners found me.

There are TONS of people looking to find GREAT homes for their beloved pets for what ever reasons. Gracie came to live with me because even after 2 yrs, gracie wasn't happy with their first child and had actually gone after her a few times..... Poor gracie, but she's happy here without any toddlers or parents in laws hating her..... I'm very spoiled by her, she lets me cuddle her, talk to her pet her, is a sassy little princess, BUT isn't usually nippy with us.... altho,,, she DID let out her "monster growl" at a bout 6am this morning, woke me with a startle.....LOL.... I think she was dreaming tho.!!!!

silly BURDS!

Alice the severe macaw no longer needs a home!

She's here in her cage fast asleep!

I made her a quickie toy, wiped off her cage....put paper in the bottom....and she's settling in nicely. She even ate some bananna, a couple cheerios and some of the veggie mix I make!

She immediately started playing w/her toys and ringing her bell!

She's a beautiful bird and we will give her time to warm up to her new home and new life!

Thanks for posting this as I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

Mary

That is a great ending. I am so happy you got her.

This is a great place to find a new home for birds. People here really know how to take care of birds. If anything ever happened that I would HAVE to rehome Abbey I would hope someone on here would fall in love with her.
