Need new homes, BFA Amazon and Dusky Pionus
Someone on another board must place her two birds due to money troubles. I have her permission to cross-post, and anyone interested in giving these birds a home, please p.m. me. She lives in Maryland. I don't know if I can copy the photos, but will send a link to the page to anyone interested.
"Unfortunately due to circumstances, I can no longer keep my parrots. Right now I am losing my home due to the economy/job loss and not sure where I am going to end up. I am asking 450.00 each - cage is included. Or 800.00 for both together. I am asking the $$'s because I want to make sure the person who takes them is serious. I will NOT fly the birds on a plane. Did this once and Rio was in bad shape afterwards. So if anyone does want either or both, you will need to drive. I will meet you if possible somewhere along the way if you cant make the entire trip to the Ocean City MD area but please do not ask me to put these birds on a plane. Rio is age unknown. DNA tested Female. Blue Fronted Amazon. She prefers men over women. She can be handled once you get her away from her cage but she is cage territorial. She is healthy and talks well. Her words are: Hi, hello, hey pretty boy, goodbye, bye bye. step up, laughing, meows, barks like a dog & wolf whistles. Her wings are unclipped. Her cage is W 36 x D 29 x H 57 (floor to cage top) - food and toys included. Jezz was born July 2006 at Queens Pride. He is DNA tested Male. Dusky Pionus. He has always been 100% healthy. Very friendly, loves to sit on your shoulder or walk around on the floor. Wings are unclipped. He will fly with you from room to room. His vocabulary currently is: hi, hey pretty boy, wolf whistles, will say beep beep as many times as you do & laughs. He loves people and is good with other animals (doesnt try to attack the cats or dogs) His cage is W 30 x D 22 x H56 (floor to cage top) - food, toys and certificate from Queens Pride included." They are beautiful, well-cared for birds, and I hope they find good homes.

Oh, man... I LOVE dusky pionus parrots!
I hope that Rio & Jezz find there way to good homes.
