Excited about Saturday & Just jabbering about the kids!

I am trying so hard to stay calm and focus on my job!!! But how hard is it when I cannot stop thinking about Saturday! I just hope one of these guys wants to go home with us.

I cannot wait to meet Shugy, Chicky and Ziggy this weekend! I think that is who I am meeting!!! WHAT TO WEAR!!!!

We have been so very spoiled by our girls who just went gaga over us. I know that it cannot always be that way -- but 3 out of 3. Not to say they were not a challenge! Shakti had to overcome some stuff and so did Baby Isis. Well, I guess it's just the way we look at it.

They are just so perfect! Never show jealousy, always wait their turn!

I mean Shakti does not like me to put my hand on her bowl, but if I put my whole head in the cage she just kisses me to pieces!

It's just the hand thing. In the beginning she did not mind, but lately she lets me know (at first very gently -- I guess I did not get it so she had to be a bit more forceful which I can understand) that this is not the way it is going to be for now....so we compromised and she goes on the "pick me up perch" when I say step-up.

I can understand how she feels as I have a doll room and I really do not like people going in and re-arranging the room. After she is out she is all over me, loving, kissing me and playing with me! That makes me happy.

Baby Isis still does not mind if I put my hands all in there, but lately she has been a little uncomfortable about her head been scratched. Again she had to tell me a couple of times. But she is very patient with me and tried hard to make me understand! I just noticed she has some pin feathers so it must be uncomfortable. But she compromised and lets me tickly her under her wings. That makes me happy!

Dharma --- is Dharma --- She is just so funny! She loves to finger wrestle. In the beginning I thought maybe she was becoming bitey, but now I know that all she just wants is to play a bit rough! But she only dishes out what I can handle.

I know that they will welcome any brother or sister that comes along. They have always been very gracious.

My husband thinks that because I just dive right into it and they see me having fun with it, they are so accepting!

Seems to work for me lately! Hubby thinks I just have so much love in me that it makes the birdies come to me like bees to honey! Or I think that they are just curious because I am so nuts and they cannot believe that someone can just be so naive as to think that they can just come in and be accepted by the "mighty ones". I think they end up feeling sorry for me and accept me as I am!!!!

I am sure there is a parrot out there that will put me in my place! I just hope they are gentle with me!

But it does not matter because sooner or later they will realize that I love them just the way they are. I do not want to change them but just modify a little here and there without them knowing it – or maybe they do know what we are up too and they are the ones who train us how to do it right.

That made me giggle. Cute names! LOL

What she doesn't realize is that she's likely to have twins.

She can't have both cockatoos though cause Chicky is an only cockatoo kinda gal.

Yeah- you have to be careful around Anna. When I met her I had ONE bird- thinking about *maybe* adding another. I have 8 birds in my house right now- of course they aren't all mine... This MBS stuff is catchy- and Anna is a definite Carrier!

You can't blame Zoey, Sadie, Micah, or Jude on me. Jude was your idea, let me remind you! The others I will take the blame for. Now it's time for me to become the voice of reason and try to talk you out of new FIDS.

Well, I for one am very excited. My husband and I have been doing so much research ans we have never had a Cockatoo! We are leaning towards Chicky and Ziggy! But let's see who loves us!

I will tell you a secret --- usually the way my husband and I introduce ourselves to new fids is that we actually sit together and start playing with a paper bag. I usually have a necklace made of wood parts. We sit there and play with a ball, have fun looking through the little paper bag, take almonds from in there and eat them while saying yum! 9 times out of 10 they come to us out of curiosity! We will see if this works for these guys. We have our bags ready!!!!

Let's all pray that Anna and her husband and the babies all have a safe trip. The weather is pretty good I believe so it should be clear sailing!
