Full Spectrum lighting ---Need input

Although I live in Houston at times it does get a bit nippy and I will not be able to take the kids outside for sun.

I need to get the bulb and the floor lamp.

Does anyone know where I can get this at a reasonable cost?

Go and order a featherbright bulb. They are around $17. Then go to lowes and get one of those silver clamp lights for about $6. This is what I use on all of my birds and it works GREAT!

I am just scared that they will burn themselves on the fixture. Where to you attach it to?

The inside of the avian lamps has a reflective part in it... so all the light gets reflected down. This is the main reason I went with them and not a regular lamp. I paid a lot, but I looked all over and didn't find it much cheaper elsewhere. I got my lamps and bulbs from Drs. Foster and Smith. (Is that right? I don't know if that name is right...) It said on the light that it had to be like 12 inches from them at least, and it had to 'burn off' for a certain amount of time where it had to be further from them than that...
