How much do your birds LOVE the shower?

Lingo loves his shower so much, that I have determined that it is really best that after his shower be his special time out of the cage, with me.

At other times of day he doesn't really care to be petted, or to sit in my lap. But he seems so happy and content after his shower. He is sitting in my lap right now, in fact, just preening himself. But he loves a good headscratch, too. This is the only time of day he seems to really want a lot of attention. Otherwise, he really just likes to be left to play with his toys on his stand or in his cage.

I never knew a bird could love water so much!!

Does anyone else's fids act so cheery after their showers? Lingo is just as content as he can be. I hope it's alright to shower him daily.

All of my birds hate the shower, but enjoy baths and mistings.

Rico doesn't really care much for showers. He loves going in with me but just likes to sit there and doesn't care to get wet. When we get out though, watch out. He gets very excited and can't wait to see the blow dryer.

That's too funny! Neither of my dogs like the hairdryer, and Lingo isn't so hot on it either.

My tiel slick loves to take showers. He will let me do anything to him in the shower. He is very relaxed and content to. After his shower he likes to sit on the shower curtain rod and take a nice nap. After his nap, he loves to play!

Tango hates the shower... I have to hold him on my arm and ***make*** him get wet... otherwise, he just runs to a spot where there's no water. I actually have to "trick" him (although I know he knows, LOL). If I take him into the shower without putting him down anywhere (ya know, straight from the play stand to the shower) things are usually OK..... but if I set him on something in the bathroon (sink, shower door, etc.) and then reach up to get him......well, let's just say he doesn't get in the shower that time!!!! I know that screech and I ain't going near that beak!!!!!

Willow does not like to take baths but tolerates them... Mango is also too small for the shower but doesn't really like baths anyways and will only take one occassionally in his water bowl.

Rio will stand off to the side out of the water for 5 minutes or so, then he will spread his wings and run in and out of the falling water eventually getting soaked. That is if he can get around Mija, she parks her butt under the shower head and just sits there while it runs over her. Then it's outside to dry and preen or if it's too cold they get the hair dryer, again Mija loves it and Rio tolerates it. We used to place 2 of those suction cup perches in there and let them jump back and forth, then I saw someone's picture with a shower rod running the length of the shower and put one in ours. I think they like that better.
