From the Alex Foundation
I am very saddened to bring this news to you all.......I will let you know how Irene is doing.....
We are deeply saddened to announce Alex died this morning of unknown causes. We will have a formal press release on Monday when we know the cause of death. He was absolutely fine yesterday and he was found dead this morning. Dr. Pepperberg will take the weekend to mourn his death. We hope to have more information on Monday We miss him so much. Thank you, Arlene Levin-Rowe and the Pepperberg Lab Staff

 This is so sad...poor Alex. I feel so bad for Dr. Pepperberg and all the people who have had the pleasure of knowing such an amazing grey.

This is very sad news. He'll be surely missed. Alex was an amazing grey that taught us alot about her feathered children as being more than what we took them for.
