North County Aviculturists’ 17th Annual
BIRD MART & EDUCATIONAL FAIR!

This unique outdoor event is located in a lovely winery that has a quaint shopping "village" (in case you want to purchase something other than birds and supplies!), a restaurant (when you're ready for some good food), and a wine tasting room!

Our BIRD MART features:
VENDORS with a wide variety of birds (finches to parrots) and supplies (cages, feed, bird toys and more) for sale;
EDUCATION BOOTH with lots of displays and free handouts
containing information on a variety of bird species and care topics;
SPEAKERS throughout the day - 11 AM to 2PM - featuring
Steve Reverditto’s performing parrots in “Tricks Without Treats,”
Joyce Dodd of Quail Ridge Parrot Rescue, and
Nicole Perretta demonstrating Wild Bird Calls.
OPPORTUNITY DRAWING - Cages, pet and breeder pairs of birds, supplies and other great items.

Thinking of going even though I'm on crutches... I haven't been to a Bird Mart/Fair before. I've been looking for a new cage for Indy.

Very nice fair! It was good to see Kevin and Mike & Katrin (Graehstone); sorry to have missed Rachel (Rach), but I hear she & Indy have a new cage to share with us.

Must admit that I had this mental image of free flying birds over vats of wine that did not come to pass! See you all next show.

The show was a nice one, always helps when its on the grounds of a winery... gotta love the tasting room between breaks left with a bottle.

Sorry that I missed everyone!! Because I was on crutches and not sure how big the fair was we got there early. I drove down with my mom we got there at 10 and left at 11:30.

I had to skip the wine tasting because of my surgery but I had fun. The best part was that I did get a new cage for Indy!! It's 30"x18"x18". I've been looking at this cage in local stores around here and they all were around $50. They also didn't have doors on the sides, which I wanted for easy of cleaning and changing toys. The one that I got has doors on each of the side and the best part - it was only $18!!

I haven’t set the cage up yet but here are some pictures of the cage and my baby boy Indy.
