Stillwater Bird fair in MN

Every other month, there's a bird fair at 5880 Omaha Ave Stillwater, MN
It runs from 10-3, and the entrance fee is $2.
There are birds everywhere! Mainly smaller birds like keets, finches, and cockatiels, but there are always quite a few conures as well.
LOTS of toys and cages for sale, as well as supplies.

They're a lot of fun!! THe next one is saturday, March 8th. The one after that is saturday, may 10th.

Are there any MN members here?

I am from MN. I haven't been to a bird fair before, it might be fun! I would only be concerned about being exposed to so many birds and bringing illness home to mine. Do you share that concern? Except for that, I think it would be great.

MN here too! I've never gone either but I think I might this time. I can agree with the pp about bringing something home to my birds though...

So for those of you who went to the last show, how was it? Thinking about the May show.

I've gone a couple of times, and there are lots of cute birds to look at! I have never bought anything there, and I wash my clothes, disinfect my shoes, and shower before seeing my own birds. Way too many young birds there that could be harboring something!

Stillwater bird fair

Hi,
I have never gone to a bird fair/show before. What is the one in stillwater like? I am hoping to find a nice hand-fed parakeet, do you think they will have any? Is there usually a wide selection of small birds like parekeets and love birds for sale there?

Stillwater

What are the bird fairs like? Is it just for selling birds and bird supplies? What kind of building is it located in? Are there breeders exhibiting their best birds for judging? I am a complete novice to bird shows and such...I just saw that there is one coming up near me and it looks interesting. Are there bird demonstrations or activities? How many people usually show up? Sorry for all the questions, I am just really curious!

i belive the stillwater fair is in the vfw i have been to one and it's pretty nice there is also one in brainard on the 26 of this month...bird fairs are a place to purchase birds, cages, toys, food etc. Even if you don't buy you may come across some good info on someone who raises a handfed keet near by you that doesn't advertise in a paper or on the web. i believe the one in stillwater runs from 10 am to 3 pm however the longer you wait to get there the more likely that many of the birds will be gone as far as price i think its 2.00 to get in i could be wrong though i can't rememer off hand,i don't usually get to the stillwater ones to far from me but i'm going to the brainard one anyone else going?
