Washington or Oregon Bird Fair?

Hello,
I live on the border of these two states and would really love to go to an exotic bird fair. Does anyone know when and where one might be held??
Thanks!
Judy

Ya that would be neat if one were to come here to Portland. Even Seattle.

Check the website for Rose City Exotic Bird Club, they usually have one in Hillsboro at the fairgrounds. *** However- the last time I went there, there were people who brought obviously ill birds and were allowed to stay! I will never return to one of their shows ***
Quality Cage Company in Ptld puts on a very nice show. It is very small, but the breeders are WONDERFUL and I've only seen extremely happy and healthy birds there. Gorgeous birds, but not alot of toys and such. I think they have finch shows all the time, but the bigger all-breed shows are 2x/yr.
Have fun!!

Sat., April 5th 10:00-4:00... Small show at Quality Cage in Portland.
When I've been there, I've seen wonderful breeders.

Thanks, Jeni. I'd been curious about bird shows here too.
I found the link, if anyone wants to check it out:

dont forget to sterilize

Hi dont forget to sterilize yourself when you come home and take a shower before you touch your other birds . might be a good idea to throw your tennis shoes into the washing machine also . Take sanitizing wipes with you to wipe your hands before you leave as well . i know alot of ppl will say this is silly but i would rather be silly and safe ,than for something to kill my birds . Good luck .

As horrified as I was about the Rose City Show, I decided to try the Quality Cage show. What a difference!!! Way smaller, but much higher quality breeders.
If I hadn't gone, I wouldn't have my Chino- which, by the way, is the most AMAZING story!

Ok- went to the Quality Cage show. As usual, no toy making supplies, but I already knew that.
I was really looking forward to chatting with some of the same wonderful breeders I'd met last time, and did see a few.
However- this time, there were birds there with severe plucking, and some with ratty tails. One cage had birds that didn't look good at all.
I was so disappointed. I feel bad for the breeders who brought gorgeous, healthy birds... are they wondering as they drive home tonight what their babies may have picked up?
I guess one great, amazing experience at a show does not guarantee that the next time, it'll be the same.
I'll stick to breeders I know personally, and buy my toy making stuff online.

Thats too bad, sorry your experience wasn't the best. It is good to know, because I had been considering driving the 6 hours to go! It just didnt work out this time, but maybe I will stick with the parrot store in Portland, I like that place. :)
