I've noticed that there are quite a few MN members out there, so I'd just like to let you know that there actually is a bird club in the state of Minnesota! The MCBA (Minnesota Companion Bird Association) is the biggest bird club in MN! We meet every third wednesday of the month, and each month's topic is different. The April topic is about Parrot diet and welfare, and the may topic is a raffle!! (no, not for birds) The raffle has all kinds of bird toys, perches, food, etc, and even a brand new african-grey sized cage!
It's a great club to be in, as I've learned a TON since joining! You get to meet other bird owners, and therefore don't get those weird stares if you talk about your bird!
