25th Annual Spring Bird Fair Nebraska/Iowa
Dear Avian Enthusiast,
It is with great pleasure that the Greater Omaha Cage Bird Society (GOCBS) invites you, your family, and friends, to attend the 25th Annual GOCBS Spring Bird Fair. This event will be April 26, 2009 between 10 am and 5 pm at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Admission is only a $2.00 donation and kids under 12 years old are free. The first 250 people will receive a free “goody bag.” Activities at this special Bird Fair will include: Door Prizes, Raffles, viewing and sales of Exotic Birds, Cages, Toys, Food, Treats and more. Presentations on basic bird care will be given by a Certified Avian Specialist & Certified Aviculturist at no additional charge to entrants. The Spring Fair brings public attention to the health and ecological importance of companion birds. We enable people to see up close and personal different birds available for companionship, visit with avian specialists and purchase birds and products to support and entertain birds at home. The purpose of the GOCBS is to support avian education and research by:
You are welcome to reserve space at the fair to sell or promote your avian related products. The guidelines are on the Table Contract at the GOCBS web site for your convenience. You are encouraged to donate door prizes and raffle items to help support fundraising at the event whether or not you are able attend. Prior donations have included televisions, cages, books, samples, toys, t-shirts, vet visits, treats, cash, and gift certificates. These are all excellent ways of advertising your company. If providing a donation you can send at least 250 of your company flyers or promotional items (key chains, magnets, pens, coupons etc… - no goody bags though) to be handed out and inserted in the 250 goody bags we will be giving out. All vendors and sponsors will be listed on our website, in our fair announcement, fair recap letter and recognized at the show. Please contact Chloe Welstead (402) 309-3978 news @ gocbs news .info to receive more information about donating or submitting flyers or promotional items. We look forward to your participation in the 2009 Spring Bird Fair. Thank you for your support of our organization to benefit avian education and research in our community, and throughout the world.
