Presented by The Long Island Parrot Society, PARROT EXPO 2009 will be an all-day extravaganza of colorful exotic birds, interactive displays, scheduled demonstrations and workshops and a fabulous array of 'parrotphernalia' on sale in the huge vendor room. The opulent VENDOR ROOM is a great place to do your ‘Pollyday’ shopping… for your favorite birds and humans too! The raffle lobby is always a big attraction; cages and accessories, bird food, toys and accessories dominate the laden tables, while the gorgeous gift baskets always garner raves from winners…that could be you! The education center is a ‘don’t miss’ destination of the day, with live birds and lots of volunteers to answer your questions.

yeah, I know it's not until October!!
 I'm still excited. And gives me plenty of time to request that day off from work! LOL

I must admit, I have been at almost every show since they started.
Its the must go show in the north east. definitly worth the drive

It's a great event and I look forward to it. Although, I hate to think about October just yet especially since we still haven't seen any good weather.
Anyone watch the LIPS TV show? I didn't think I could see it in my area but recently discovered it a few weeks ago. It's on Sat mornings by me.

Do they have birds for sale at this show? The site is vague.

There is a room dedicated to birds for sale. It's usually the smaller breeds though, some amazons too. At least has been the two times I've gone. If you're interested in birds for sale and youre going to be on Long Island for the expo you might want to check out either "Parrots of the World" in Rockville Center or "For Birds Only" in Mineola.

They will not have a bird sale room this year.
Anyone interested in bringing (weaned) birds for sale has to request and pay for a vendor table.

excellent excellent show! I wont be there again this year due to the store, but my thoughts will be with all my friends who are vending and attending.
