I'm glad you posted this! I just found some information about this here:

http://www.gccbc.org/FAIRS%20SHOWS/public%20flier.pdf
October 31-St. Charles, IL - Greater Chicago Cage Bird Club's Annual Show & Fair
Du Page Expo, 4050 East Main St. (630)-640-4924 9am-5pm, Admission: $3.

I will probably head over there before 1pm (Trick or Treating in the area starts at 3pm).

I had NO idea about this fair! Is it a bigger fair than the Joliet one? I always go to the one in April but this is the first time I heard about this one! I'm excited!

There really aren't any great "bird" stores in the Schaumberg area. However, since you're coming from GB .. you may want to make a slight detour in Kenosha. There's an awesome bird only shop there called "Jo's Bird" .. here's a link to their website:

http://www.jos-exoticbirds.com/

Great people .. a good, old fashioned "mom and pop" style place, specializing in everything "bird".

If you stop in .. tell 'em the "Wine Lady" sent ya, they'll know who you mean .. lol.

I'll be at the show on Sat., I go every year .. usually it's pretty good.

I've been to Jo's a couple of years ago. I'm really from Appleton which is 30 min. south of G.B.and no just bird stores here. That's why we like going to the fairs in St. Charles and Wheaton. I like that you can buy toy making supplies. Even the bird fairs around here don't handle that stuff.

I can't begin to explain how disappointed I was with this event.

I didn't expect it to be a bird-flea market..... and my heart went out for so many of the birds. :(
