Here is a link to a recipe I found on another forum. I suppose you could add crushed pellets or whatever you wanted for more nutrition.

I used to make it for my finches all the time- boil eggs, chop finely (i used a pampered chef food chopper) throw in some spices like garlic, basil, etc. RPO over it, and maybe some breadcrumbs and feed. It keeps for a couple days so I'd only make a couple eggs at time.

This makes a pretty big recipe but you could maybe cut it down to the amount you need.

Well thats kinda silly, it requires commercial dry egg food as an ingredient. I'm trying to avoin buying that,LOL and I'm uncomfortable adding zinc and somebodys breeding tonic. I just want egg food - the first ones are quite basic and just what i need. I think I can freeze those too. Thanks!

I was wondering that myself. I think it's the mix of the honey, sugar and absorbic acid (vitamin C) that makes it smell that way. I bought some for my tiels who had eggs after you had mentioned it to me and the only way they will eat it is if I mix it in their scrambled eggsbut little do they know that I have been slowly reducing the amount of egg and increasing the amount of quiko...I'll show themlol. At least I know that the 1 chick that has hatched so far is getting the vitamins that it needs though so I do thank you for telling me about it. They were starting to get wise to me mixing crushed pellets in their eggs Sometimes they are too smart for their own good!
