Palm nuts
I have a question: Living in Southern California we have a ton of palms with loads of palm nuts that are fruiting all year. Are these palm nuts safe to give our birds? We have a feral parrot population here but I don't know if they eat them or not. Are there any species of palm to avoid?

I'm not sure of actual types of palms, but I do know you must be careful that pesticides, herbicides, etc. were not used on the trees. If they're public trees, its pretty hard to determine what has gotten on/in them.
