Diet of a Finch vs Budgie?

I want to get a new bird, but want to consider diet differences. I am leaning more towards a budgie, but still thinking of a zebra or society finch pair. So, what do they eat?

I was planning on getting Roudybush pellets (not for a finch?). Sprout some finch seeds and millet spray. (Do you sprout different seeds/beans for a budgie or finch?) Grow my own dandelion and possibly other plants on my "don't get much sun" patio. (Are there different things I grow for each type of bird?) Otherwise, I will go to the grocery store to buy various fruits and vegetables. (I assume not only would a finch have smaller quantity, but they wouldn't partake as much fresh foods to their diet?) I would find more satisfaction growing their foods myself organically. Then I suppose a mix of seeds. (Seeds are most of a finches diet as opposed to a parakeet who shouldn't have too much seed and does better on various fresh foods?)

What are some of the recommended seed mixes? I do like Lafeber's Nutri-Berries and other various products. Are those okay for budgies or finch?

Actually my finches and canaries seem to like a wider range of fruits and vegetables than my budgies, while the budgies are more amused by rice and beans --though all will eat some of each. They get different seed mixes and sizes of pellets, but otherwise I feed them similar diets. Couple of other things to consider --
What sort of interaction do you plan to have with the bird(s)?
There is a big difference in their vocalization, do you prefer one?
Finches reproduce frequently in captivity, budgies less often.
I think either is a good choice (but I have over a dozen of each, so may not be impartial )

Anyone else want to give feedback?

...

I was leaning towards a bird I can interact with thus why a budgie is top on my list, but finches are nice birds who can be entertaining to watch and not feel guilty you didn't take them out of the cage to play with. Since I live in an apartment, I needed a bird who would not disturb my neighbors, thus both birds I like are great. If I got finches, I won't be trying to breed them.

I guess no one else has a feedback? Should I post in the budgie and finch forums instead?
