corn on the cob question

Hi all just a quick question. We just got a dozen ears of corn on the cob and am wondering Is there a correct cooking method to give him(grilling, boiling). Would it be safe to give a tiel like a half an ear and just let him go at it? He has a toy that i believe made out of a cob husk. Do i have to dry the husk out first to give it to him? any tips would be great. Thanks

I just boil the corn on the cob... I slice it off for my smaller birds and the larger ones I just let them have at it. It makes a mess though... be forwarned. They love it!

Well I give my birds corn on the cob raw not cooked at all, I take a ear lay it on cutting board and cut into about 4 or 5 rings then I cut those in half, the finches will completly eat every spec of it ,sengals, nandy, cocetiels, they eat every kernel.
But corn has a lot of surgar so I only give about twice A week,

I do remove the hulls and silk stringy things.

Thanks for all the tips, so it is safe to give the corn still on the cob to birds. Now after they pick off all the corn, is there a special way of drying it or just let it air dry and they will still pick at it. The toy he has now, he has had for a while now, there are like 5 1-inch cobs on it, he tends to shred a half a one per month, and would love to replace it.

Either feed the corn on the cobb fresh or cooked! Don't let it dry out, just feed it!

The only thing is is that corn really isn't that healthy in large quantities so don't feed much of it!

As for toys... well, you'd probably need a dehydrator for that!
