I am keeping a bunch of seed and beans in the freezer, I'm assuming it isn't bad for them.
I don't get my eclectus for another month and a half but bought all the food already so I had to find some way to keep it fresh. I don't think seed goes bad quickly because I know the stuff on the shelves sits there forever and is so old it wont sprout anymore..

Oh not true about seed being too old to sprout. We have a potted plant in our house and we put seeds in there so the birds could forage and whatever (never ended up doing it, totally unsafe for the birds) but in the mean time the seeds sat there and sat there and soon enough we literally had a bunch of tall grass!!! it can definitely still grow, its weird!
