Question about large bird Harrisons and small birds...

Hi there! I have a question about Harrisons large bird maintenance food. I bought a small bag of it to introduce to Lucy, my DYH. She came to me on ZuPreem fruit blend, and while the vet said it was ok to keep her on that, he recommended Harrisons. I introduced itto her by putting just a few in with her Zupreem. She left the Harrisons in the bowl. I tried increasing the Harrisons and giving less of the ZuPreem. Same thing, only ate the Zupreem. (She eats certain colors first!) She will not eat the Harrisons at all. I do not want the Harrisons to go bad, so I am wondering if it is ok to break up the pellets and give them to my GCC and Tiel? I had thought of also putting the Harrisons in with some mash, but we are using pluck no more on Lucy, and on the bottle it states no fresh food whle using that. I know the Harrisons will go bad in a short time. Any feedback? Thanks!

I believe that you can refrigerate the pellets to help keep them good longer.
