Dies Questions, Safe

Im just wondering if parrots can have the following?

- Blue Berries - Im pretty sure then can
- Rasberries
- Blackberry
- Cranberry
- Strawberries
- Mushrooms

I know all berries have to be washed really well to get the pesticides off.

Mushrooms I am not sure about but the berries are fine. I have read that you should go organic on the berries for the pestasides. I also read that the berries have very porous skins so it is very hard to get rid of.

I believe that you are correct about the wash I just do not know the name. Also, this company: JUST TOMATOES by Bird Paradise (I know that this is just a store that sells them) makes dried fruits and vegetables including the berries if your birds like the taste for when fresh are out of season.

The berries are fine. Not the mushrooms. They're a fungus, which is the same family that molds belong to. Mushrooms as a group tend to contain a lot of toxins too. In some species the level is low enough for humans to eat them safely, but some kinds will kill you dead.

mushrooms aren't good for parrots, since it's a fungus.
