Herbs for Parrots

We all like herbs to be added in our dishes, not only bring nice aroma but also brings great flavors. I was wondering any owners give herbs like dill, oregano, basil, thyme, cat nips and other kitchen herbs for your parrots to nibble/eat/play?

Do share your experiences...

I googled it and there are a lot of interesting comments about it online. Seems like most people's birds really love it!

I keep a small bowl of herb salad in with my birds and they seem to like to nibble on it. Obviously...it isnt something that they eat like a meal, but they do seem to munch on it.

It looked like pretty good stuff to me, and I dont seem to go through it to fast...so like I said, I just keep it in the cage for them to munch on as they please.

My birds eat most of the things I do, so when I eat herbs, they do to.

When I had more birds and fixed more meals just for the birds, I'd always throw a few spices and herbs in, too! They seemed to like all of them. Even when just cooking for the birds, I stick to combinations of herbs/spices/foods that I like, myself.

herbs

I give Dusty my BE2 oregano, rosemary flowers, aloe vera, parsley, and lemon grass from my garden, only small bits most often as part of her daily "green pick" as entertainment and snacking when I'm at work. I also sprout fenugreek to add to her daily sprout mix that form the basis of her diet.

Even though cinnamon isn't really an herb, whenever I cook zuchinni for the fids, I usually sprinkle a little cinnamon on the zuchinni. My TAG Gizzy loves it. I bake the zuchinni in the oven so it smells great when baking.
