Absolutely is fine to feed to your birds. Just don't stick the seasoning packet in with it.

Could that be frozen after made? I got an idea to make soup but it would take Abbey forever to eat it all.

I only cook enough for 2 days worth. I give them a variety of foods they don't always get the same food each day. Unless its the soup mix they will get that one day then the next day.

Many beans, especially red kidney beans, contain a toxin called Phytohaemagglutnin (Kidney Bean Lectin) also called hemaglutin. Cooking destroys *most* of the toxin. Make sure that dried beans are well cooked before serving to your bird...

I don't use the bean mix (I have though when my soak'n'cook order didn't arrive in time though), but I make huge batches and freeze them just fine.

Fava beans are on some lists of "what not to feed your parrot". This particularly applies to raw beans due to their toxicity. I don't know how safe they are cooked.

The problem with the varying lists is that they vary. It's infuriating. My vet says fava's are fine as long as they're cooked well and rinsed - like all other legumes.

Although it may be all fine to feed if fully cooked, there are healthier/better (easier to digest, less worry) options out there.

Adzuki, Mung, Sprouting Peas, Lentils
