Yes. Brown rice is much better than white rice and sweet potatoe is much healthier than white potatoe.

What Matt said ^^

Rice can be fed uncooked, also. I add organic brown rice to my dry seed & grain mix. Potatoes should be cooked, though.

When we have either for dinner, our fids get a little bowl of their own. I usually mix a few veggies in as well. I just put some aside before seasonings of any kind and they think they are getting the same as us. LOL

Oh I didn’t know you could give them uncooked rice. That is good to know.

I think Im going to try some rice mixed in with eggs (cooked of course), some cooked veggies and see how that goes. I think they would like the egg mixed in with it. Kind of like a stir fry.

I “think” I read somewhere raw potatoes are bad for them.

Ah shucks! I wasn't wanting to read that raw potatoes weren't approved, or even questionable. Krickett loves a few small potatoe peels in her salads...

Well I do know I read it somewhere, sorry to burst your bubble. I could try cooking my babies some potato skins.

I think I'll try cooking some and then dehydrating them. She likes crunchy. Maybe even grate some large and cook and dehydrate. Or what about frozen french fries?

Frozen French fry’s I would think would not be to healthy. High in fat and grease. You can give them one but just limit it to occasionally. Mine LOVE French fry’s.

Abbey will be upset about the raw potato. She loves raw sweet potato. Do you know why it is bad?
