Chamomile tea-it's uses?

I have noticed it mentioned on several occaision that people give their birds chamomile tea. What are it's benefits and how is it served and how often? Thanks

I use it with my caique. It tends to have a calming effect.

Nokomis gets it lots of ways...

Sometimes as a warm tea, sometimes as a cool drink in a small bowl in his cage. Sometimes he gets the tea bag to chew on while it's still warm.

I even feed him chamomile flowers.

No specific dosage, just make sure it's decaf.

Really seems to help him stay relaxed before a vet visit, if there's alot of company and commotion in the house, or if he's having trouble settling in for the night.

Plus, he just plain likes it

I get them from Goldenfeast. I also buy the hibiscus flowers as well, the birds really love them... especially my severe.
