Several vegetables that grow in my small vegetable garden are almost always in the daily fresh vegetable mix: dandelion greens, broccoli and/or broccoli leaves (leaves are even more nutritious), kale, collard, mustard greens. Often I include carrot tops, bok choy, peas in season, radish leaves, chili peppers. Yams/sweet potatoes are fine as PART of a varied diet. The cooked mix I feed in the late afternoon (grain/lentil/sweet potato) has sweet potato, so yes, they get it daily along with more of the fresh vegetable mix. But the sweet potato, like everything else, is just a part of their diet because there is a lot of variety. Lots of variety of healthy foods, and everything in moderation works pretty well as a general rule of thumb.
