Zupreem VS Pretty Bird Pellets

I was at a birdfair and looking to buy a bag of Zupreem for my parrots. But I did tell the guy from Reed Seed that I was miffed that Zupreem has just upped their prices. He said to get Pretty Bird. That nutritionally it was the same that all they did was use fructose instead of sucrose. Otherwise it was the same nutritionally.

Does anyone know if that is true? Or if using fructose/sucrose makes any difference?

I think one is sweetened using fruit sugars and the other regular sugars. Neither is good for birds. That being said, my U2 will only eat Zupreem because that was what he was raised on when I rescued him. I have tried every trick in the book to switch pellets. My CAG is on a mix of Roudybush and Lafaber pellets. Both get fresh fruits and veggies and mash daily.

Pretty bird is pretty pricey too. Just switched from it to Harrison's adult lifetime for my macaw.

Regurgitating Macaw - What is the issue?

So, Lola my B&G is totally in love with me and I am convinced thinks I am her mate. I have NOT encouraged this behaviour and when she does the regurgitating thing I walk away and ignore it. However, as of now that doesn't seem to discourage her from doing it.

She turns her backside to me instead of stepping up. I pull my hand away.

She likes to 'preen' my fingernails. I pull my hand away when she does that.

I guess my question is, if you don't discourage this behaviour, what are the consequences?
